Satsuki Azalea

Sun:

They can take full sun for a while,but perform at there best when in a light shade.

Temperature:

Keep outside until temps drop below 9 degress then move into a frost free shed.

Watering:

Azaleas do not like any hint of dry soil so keep the soil evenly moist at all times. Try to use lime free tapwater or rainwater. Azaleas hate lime.

Training:

Becareful when wiring as branches tend to break easy.

Fertilizing:

Use a week solution of a balanced fertilizer until flowering starts then stop. Start when flowering has stopped. Organic fertilizers are best.

Repotting:

Repot young tree's every one to 3 years and older ones every four to five years. Use a kanuma mix. Repot immediatly after flowering.

A very pretty tree in full bloom.
